If you’re already practising your pretend I-love-it face in preparation for receiving more terrible presents this Christmas, Burger King has some good news for you.
The fast food chain is offering a burger swap for unwanted gifts this year. Ungrateful Unfortunate recipients of presents that are unnecessary, unsuitable or just a bit crap, can bring them to the Leicester Square Burger King and swap them for a Whopper burger.
Don’t worry, though – this isn’t a service only available to Londoners. You can also post pictures of the questionable gifts on social media with the hashtag #WhopperExchange, and Burger King will send a gift card.
“At Burger King restaurants, we are always looking for ways to surprise our fans, no matter if they were good or naughty,” says Renato Rossi, Burger King UK’s marketing chief.
“The Whopper Exchange will offer our guests the chance to basically get a flame-grilled gift in exchange for an unwanted one. Because this holiday season, we want everyone to receive something they will love.”
Burger King said it will donate all gifts to charity, “because someone’s unwanted gift can be someone else’s treasure”.
