The Times of India released an article online about the upcoming event. Read on below for some snippets of the article.

An initiative of the Celebrate Bandra Trust, comprising of local citizens, and the experiential marketing agency Fountainhead Entertainment Pvt Ltd, the festival aims to serve as a platform for Bandra’s indigenous diversity. The first annual festival started in 2003 to provide not only a stage for Bandra talent but also clean, wholesome entertainment.

With a bevy of cultural events lined up this year, the festival aims to indulge the art lover, the film buff, the fitness enthusiast and the foodie. “There is something for everyone,” says festival director Neale Murray, about the offerings that range from short film screenings to heritage walks, from music to sports and poetry. Among the many things to look forward to this weekend, is a glitzy football exhibition match at the St Andrew’s College hockey turf on Sunday. Here, a celeb all-star team comprising Bollywood bigwigs such as Arjun Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Dino Morea, among others, will play against a team called India Stars made up of eminent former international hockey and football players led by former Olympian Edgar Mascarenhas.

To set the tone for the carnival-like ambience at Times Celebrate Bandra 2016 this Saturday, a colourful parade, replete with floats, will open the festival. Here, a bouquet of vibrant characters ranging from stilt-walkers and hover-boarders to Harley riders and Lejhim dancers will travel from St Andrew’s College auditorium up to Otter’s Club via St Cyril Road. Interestingly, making his debut at this parade, would be a festival mascot named O-fivo. Named after Bandra’s pin code (400050), this mascot will personify the suburb’s soul. This mascot will embody the spirit of “a happy and fun-loving Bandra kid,” says Murray.
